To commemorate this beautiful Memorial Day, I would like to first start off by saying thank you to all of the men and women who have served our beautiful country and gave the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that we can live in a country that is full of opportunities. Thank you to those who have given their lives in order for us to have the right to speak our minds, follow our passions, practice the religion we want, and have the right to host a celebratory BBQ in their honor if we so choose. I would like to take today and remember those who have committed suicide due to PTSD and promise to do better for them.

Thank you, to the women and men who have served and to those, knowing what may be asked of them one day, who will wear the uniform, take the oath, and carry on into the unknown.

To those who have felt the pain of losing their loved ones, my heart goes out to you today and every day. They have left this Earth as a hero, they walk through all of us as we live the lives that they gave theirs for.

Take time to understand and remember that freedom isn’t free. Freedom is ours because of the sacrifices of so many who have fought so bravely.

“And they, who for their country die shall fill an honored grave, for glory lights the soldier’s tomb, and beauty weeps the brave.” – Joseph Drake

To Benjamin.

To Alex.

We love you, we miss you, and we thank you.
